ABOUT US

We are Australia’s first web business to provide educational support services to prospective parents forming their families through adoption, fostering, permanent care, surrogacy and biological birth children.

We provide a range of support services: Practical Parenting Workshops, Worldwide Telephone Advisory Support Service, local Smart Shopping Tours for expert brand knowledge and advice; and regular Blogs and educational Podcasts.

 We are currently designing an innovative Parenting Toolbox that will give parents knowledge to managing parenting issues. This ToolBox will be available in early 2008. Stay Tuned for further information.

The founder Annie formed her family through Intercountry Adoption & is mother to 3 beautiful children from Korea & China.

Annie is a registered Nurse Division 1/ Midwife and Teacher, and has a Master of Health Administration. Annie has vast experience in teaching students from student Division 1/2 nurses and students in Aged Care.  Annie is an accredited Assessor/Auditor since January 2005, for the Melbourne Nurses Board Australia; reviewing University Midwifery under/post graduate Degrees and direct entry/refresher Midwifery courses. Annie is also a Child Birth Educator for Ramsay Health assisting parents (first time parents & refreshers for second children & beyond) before childbirth with Antenatal classes. 

Child Parenting Skills provides Workshops for parents including a Practical Parenting Workshops to attain clinical skills to manage your baby. More Workshops are being developed currently.

 Child Parenting Skills staff are parents, so have first hand experience & knowledge in what babies/toddlers need to develop & grow. 

This web business originially commenced in March 2006 because of increased community demand for relevant adoption support services.  Due to demand Child Parenting Skills has expanded services to all prospective parents and families in the community.

The Team want to continue to provide support after your child is at home.

Child Parenting Skills are donating 5% of annual profits to a new Victorian organsiation called Post Placement Support Services, which assists families after placement of children through adoption, fostering or permanent care.
